The Workplace Smygehem is a residential facility with 52 apartments distributed across six departments. The facility is located on one level and is surrounded by a large and pleasant garden where both residents and staff can enjoy all seasons of the year. We have spacious common areas where activities and social interaction create community among all departments. Job Duties As a nursing assistant at Smygehem, you work with care and service provision for our residents. You have the opportunity to work in one of the most meaningful and rewarding professions that exist – contributing to a safe, dignified, and fulfilling everyday life for elderly people. In this role, you combine professional care with good treatment and an understanding of people's different needs, circumstances, and feelings. You work closely with residents and are an important part in creating quality of life and well-being. The work also includes certain health and medical care tasks after delegation from nurses and rehabilitation staff. Interventions are planned, documented, and followed up in our management system, which means you need to be thorough and comfortable with digital documentation. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has nursing education or other education that the employer considers equivalent for work within elderly care. It is an advantage if you have education and/or experience working with people with dementia. You need to have good computer skills and be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and reliable. You have good cooperation skills, a genuine interest in elderly people, and the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with both residents, relatives, and colleagues. For us, good dialogue with relatives is an important part of the operation, and we work actively together to create safety and participation. In your work, you collaborate with various professional groups, including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and external partners. You are service-oriented and have an interest in strengthening and maintaining what is healthy and well in each individual. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Smygehem is located in Smygehamn, where access to public transportation is limited. Therefore, you need to have a driver's license and access to a car or other suitable means of transportation. Trelleborg Municipality has full-time as the norm, which means that all employees have the right to a full-time position. The temporary position is 100 percent, but there is an opportunity to request a lower employment level. The employer will request an extract from the criminal record before employment.
