Right now we are looking for engaged employees for our Maintenance Department. At Quant in Ludvika, we have just over 120 employees, of which approximately 60 work in our maintenance department in various roles; maintenance technicians (Electrical/Automation, Mechanical, Process, Project, etc.), maintenance engineers, planners/coordinators, and project managers. We perform emergency and preventive maintenance for our customer Hitachi Energy and also work to help the customer maintain and optimize machine performance at their facilities. About the position: In the role of maintenance technician within mechanics, you will perform ongoing work for emergency and preventive maintenance. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop in your role as a technician by working in a production environment with both older and newer machinery. We work to help customers maintain and optimize machine performance at their facilities. Your main duties: Mechanical preventive maintenance Emergency repairs Troubleshooting on machines during breakdowns or production stops Machine processing and manufacturing of simple mechanical constructions Simple calculations on jobs that can lead to projects Work is performed mainly during shift work Qualifications: Workshop technical education, preferably with a focus on maintenance Previous experience in workshop work and mechanical troubleshooting Basic computer skills, as all maintenance work is reported in our maintenance system Maximo via computer and mobile It is meritorious if you also have pneumatics knowledge, knowledge of hydraulics, and knowledge/experience of maintaining CNC-controlled machines We would like you to possess these qualities: Good technical expertise and ability to solve various problems that arise Customer-oriented Enjoy collaborating with others Are responsible, thorough, and self-driven and preferably see improvements and new opportunities Have experience with and enjoy shift work Good experience with night work and other shift work; for this position, night work is initially required Who would thrive here?
