When something breaks, you're expected to quickly diagnose and perform repairs to minimize downtime. Mechanics and electrical systems often go hand in hand. You therefore work closely with machine electricians to solve problems where the cause may lie at the intersection of hardware and control systems. Emergency troubleshooting and repair: Quickly diagnose and address mechanical faults in processing machines to minimize production stops Planned preventive maintenance: Perform periodic inspections, lubrication, and replacement of wear parts according to established maintenance schedules to ensure the machinery fleet's longevity Service, adjustment, repair, and replacement of parts and components to maintain the machines' high dimensional accuracy requirements Work with drive and control systems: Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components such as cylinders, valve packages, and pumps The machinery fleet consists of about 100 machines, both older and more modern models; the work includes mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics The role also involves extensive collaboration with other departments, such as working closely with machine electricians and production teams to solve complex problems where mechanics and electricity meet Other Information Working hours: 2-shift, full-time with immediate start Employment is permanent with a 6-month probationary period IF Metall collective agreement Qualifications Several years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably from a production environment Knowledge of reading and understanding hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams/drawings Good knowledge and broad experience in troubleshooting, preferably from processing machines, valves, and cylinders Experience with or knowledge of machine manufacturers such as Okuma, Klingenberg, Gleason, Mazak, Pittler, Schmid is a merit Experience in precision mechanics and ability to test and calibrate machines Secondary-level industrial technical education or vocational college (YH) in maintenance technology, or equivalent experience Computer skills for working in maintenance systems Fluent Swedish in speech and writing Forklift certification is a merit About the Company Meritor HVS AB What do we do in Lindesberg?
