Uddevalla Municipality seeks a center developer – an operational driving force with a strategic compass Do you want to help shape the future city center of Uddevalla – and do it for real? Now we are looking for you to take a key role in realizing our center strategy through collaboration, business establishment, and visible presence in the center. About the assignment Uddevalla has a clear vision: a center to long for. The strategy is in place – now we need a capable and relationship-building center developer who gets things done on a daily basis. You will work operationally to: Initially drive the work of creating a shared center association/organization together with property owners, business owners, and other stakeholders. Fill vacant spaces and attract new businesses, both in retail, restaurants, and experiences. Coordinate cooperation between property owners, retailers, associations, the merchant association, and the municipality. Drive concrete initiatives and events that strengthen the attractiveness and vitality of the center. Be visible in the city and close to the stakeholders – you will be a unifying force on the ground. You will work on assignment from the municipal management office, where strategic responsibility lies, but your focus is the everyday work that brings the strategy to life. We are looking for you who... Have relevant post-secondary education in, for example, urban planning, economics, marketing, property management, or equivalent that the employer deems equivalent. Are solution-oriented and capable of action, with a good sense of collaboration, timing, and dialogue. Have experience with business establishment, retail, place development, or property management. Have experience working independently in complex environments and building long-term relationships. Are good at bringing others along – you have a feel for the situation, energy, and a down-to-earth attitude. Have local knowledge or a genuine interest in Uddevalla and its development. Meritorious Experience from a center association, destination development, city collaboration, and public sector. Knowledge of the property market, retail and restaurant establishment, or place marketing. Experience working within municipal and political organizations. We offer you: A role with considerable autonomy – but also support from the municipal management office and other functions. A meaningful assignment where you can be part of creating concrete results – quickly and visibly. The opportunity to work in the city center and among people – close to the businesses and stakeholders. The position is a time-limited project employment for 6 months. After the project period ends, the intention is for the established center association to assume the employer responsibility for the role.
