Hemavan Tärnaby Airport is located in the heart of the Västerbotten Mountains within walking distance of ski lifts and the Kungsleden trail. We operate regular traffic to Stockholm 6 days a week and also serve an important public function by accepting ambulance flights, police, defense, and private aircraft year-round. We are now seeking additional colleagues to work as traffic assistants at Hemavan Tärnaby Airport. The position involves variable hours throughout the year: 50% during most of the year and 100% during peak season months (February - April) and if shift work is required during the summer peak season. There may be opportunities for more hours depending on qualifications. Your Role: As a traffic assistant, you will handle passenger and baggage check-in, ticket service, arrival and baggage service, and passenger assistance. The work also includes some administrative tasks and facility maintenance. We are looking for someone who can work independently with personal responsibility and make quick decisions. You are ambitious, have high work ethics, and are thorough. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and see opportunities and solutions to problems you encounter. It is important that you are service-oriented and passionate about providing excellent service to our passengers. Good computer skills are required as we use many different systems. Your Profile: As an employee with us, you will be in contact with many people. You have the ability to handle different situations in a methodical and calm manner with a focus on safety. You are thorough and positive in your interactions with passengers and staff. Working as a traffic assistant, you are part of a work team, and therefore we place great importance on you being a good team player and your personal suitability. You must be at least 18 years old and have completed a three-year secondary education with good knowledge of Swedish and English. Our major travel periods follow winter/summer tourist seasons, and Sundays are a busy travel day for us. Working hours vary from early morning, afternoon/evening, and Sundays. We would like to see that you have: - Good knowledge of Swedish and English in writing and speech (additional language skills are a plus) - Good computer skills - Previous experience working in the aviation industry, with Amadeus, Altéa, or other relevant system knowledge is a plus (office suite) - Several years of experience from similar service positions is a plus Safety is a high priority for us at Hemavan Tärnaby Airport. Since the work is performed in a security-classified area, it is important that you do not have any entries in the criminal record. Security clearance and background checks will be conducted before an employment decision is made. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis and recruitment may be closed early.
