We are now recruiting hourly caregivers to join our team at Garvarvägen. We offer training and a rewarding job where you make a real difference! About Garvarvägen Garvarvägen is a group home under LSS (Disability Services Act) serving individuals with autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disabilities. Garvarvägen is located 2 kilometers outside central Ljusdal, beautifully situated close to nature, bathing beaches, and scenic walking trails, within walking distance to the town center. The beautiful area is called Lillhaga and is surrounded by Lake Borrsjön on one side and the Ljusnan river on the other. Ljusdal offers most community services including grocery stores, restaurants, cafés, pharmacies, healthcare center, riding club, shops, swimming areas, and more. Garvarvägen has 10 employees with experience and knowledge in working with our target group. Our staff have relevant education in social care such as nursing programs, KY-education in social care, or social work degrees. About the Role As a residential support worker, you provide support based on the residents' individual needs and wishes, using a pedagogical approach in daily life. Working together with colleagues, your goal is to make each day meaningful and fulfilling. You support and guide residents with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, social contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate residents to develop their abilities and create opportunities for active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documentation and planning based on individual care plans. Working hours include daytime, evenings, weekends, and on-call nights with sleeping duties, as well as waking night shifts. You will have a coordinator nearby who spends part of their time working in the facility. This could also be a future career opportunity for you. Your Experience and Qualifications You have a high school education in healthcare and social care or equivalent qualification. You have strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is advantageous if you have experience working with this target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important factor. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.
