Citizen Services As a municipal information officer, you will be part of the Citizen Services department and will work at the municipality's main switchboard, where you handle incoming phone calls from citizens, business owners, and internal staff. You will provide guidance, answer straightforward questions, and transfer calls to the right person or department within the municipality. The work takes place on-site at the municipal building in Smedjebacken. Since staffing needs are driven by short-term absences, as a temporary substitute you will need to be available to come in with short notice. Job Duties As a municipal information officer, you work to provide guidance, answer questions, and provide information about the municipality's services to citizens and employees of Smedjebacken Municipality. You work from a holistic perspective with a focus on providing the best service and support in every interaction. Phone, email, and our website are your primary work tools. Main duties: Receive, respond to, and transfer incoming phone calls through our switchboard system. Provide service and information in a clear and friendly manner. Handle administrative tasks related to the switchboard function. Qualifications Completed upper secondary education. Good computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems. You express yourself very well in Swedish in both speech and writing, and can handle conversations in English. Previous experience working in a telephone switchboard, customer service, or other service profession is highly advantageous. You have the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor even when the switchboard is busy. You are flexible, service-oriented, and work well in collaboration with others.
