Technical Director The Filipstad factory manufactures crisp bread under the Wasa brand. Over the past three years, both Filipstad and Celle have undergone extensive structural changes with major investments in the expansion and installation of new production lines and facilities. We are now seeking a Technical Director who, together with the technical team, will continue to develop the factory. About the Role As Technical Director, you are an important part of the factory's management team, reporting to the Factory Manager. You lead a competent team of four direct reports on the technical department who work with maintenance, facilities, projects, and investments. The entire department includes approximately 30 people as well as external suppliers. The role is broad and includes, among other things: - Leading and developing the team to collectively achieve the factory's goals. - Responsibility for budgets and cost frameworks for existing technical systems and facilities. - Preparing documentation, plans, and calculations for investments in the factory and facilities. - Staying up to date with technical developments to ensure the factory is competitive now and in the future. - Providing technical advice and support to production. - Following up on key metrics and ensuring that targets are met and budgets are not exceeded. - Together with the team and colleagues in production, ensuring that maintenance work at the factory is well planned and executed according to plan. - Procurement and coordination of external expertise. - Ensuring and optimizing the factory's technical equipment for energy supply. Beyond the above, you prioritize and lead work so that staff and colleagues feel good in the workplace and are given the conditions to succeed in their roles. Your background is likely that you have worked in manufacturing operations where you held positions with responsibility. You do not need cutting-edge technical expertise in all areas, but breadth, relevant education, and a strong interest in technology are important. Experience with calculations, budget work, project management, and people management we consider necessary. You are skilled at maintaining structure in operations. You enjoy working in the present while also developing technical solutions, work methods, and organization. Your leadership qualities are of utmost importance, where we see that you are one of the team and enjoy working together with others in an international context, while also driving development and being clear about direction and expectations.
