Music Teacher Grades 4–9 (100%) Your New Job Internationales Engelska Skolan Österåker is a newly established grades F–9 school located in Åkersberga with good connections to central Stockholm. We are now seeking a certified music teacher for grades 4–9. As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, instruction, assessment, and grading in accordance with the current curriculum. The position also includes mentoring responsibilities for one of the classes you teach. You are expected to participate in meetings with guardians, students, and colleagues, and to actively contribute to maintaining the school's values and vision. We have high academic ambitions and strong faith in every student's ability to develop and reach their full potential. Your Profile You are a certified teacher in music for grades 4–9. As a person, you are flexible, engaged, and a clear leader in the classroom. You are creative and passionate about inspiring students through both practical and theoretical elements of music. You have the ability to create a positive and structured learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop according to their abilities. You adapt your instruction to meet different students' needs and enjoy collaborating with student support teams and special education teachers to work inclusively. You view continuous and clear feedback to students and guardians as an integral part of your role and communicate both progress and areas for development in a professional manner. Instruction takes place primarily in Swedish, but you should feel comfortable communicating in English with colleagues in our international work environment. The position is full-time (100%). Interviews are ongoing and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. A valid extract from belastningsregistret for work in schools is mandatory upon employment.
