Opportunity to Apply for Study Grant Are you a nursing student in T5, and interested in working in internal medicine once you have completed your education and graduated as a registered nurse? We offer you, who are starting term 6 in fall 2026 of the nursing program and who choose to begin your career with us after completing your studies, the opportunity to apply for a study grant during your final term (term 6). Grow into Your Role As a newly graduated registered nurse with us at Akademiska Hospital, you will receive varied work tasks and a safe and educational start in your new profession. Sometimes the step between education and working life feels big, and to give you the opportunity to grow into your new role, during your first year with us at Akademiska Hospital you will be part of our Clinical Development Year (KUÅ). KUÅ is a mandatory professional introduction for you as a newly graduated registered nurse employed in Region Uppsala and is designed to help you sharpen your clinical skills, network with other newly graduated nurses, and have reflection time together with experienced nurses. We have 22 care beds. Patients come to us after initial management at the emergency department, or alternatively after care in intensive care or intermediate care. On 30E we also receive patients from the mobile primary care team for direct admission. Our specialist expertise is heart failure. Average length of stay is 5–7 days. The department is in constant development and we want you as an employee to have the opportunity to actively participate in building and developing the operations so that seriously ill patients can be cared for under good conditions with high quality, on a department where staff work environment is in focus. Here we invest in thorough introductions, training, development, and various improvement initiatives. For us, YOU are important. Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a nursing student in T5 who is starting term 6 in fall 2026. You are interested in internal medicine and want to start working on 30E after completing your degree. We place great emphasis on personal suitability such as being responsible and motivated in your work. You have a flexible and curious approach and good collaboration skills. What We Offer We offer you a permanent employment contract as a nursing care assistant. Upon submission of your license, the employment will be converted to a permanent employment contract as a registered nurse. You commit to working 12 months with us after completing your degree. There is an opportunity to work as a nursing assistant or nursing care assistant during your studies, but it is not a requirement. Your new position will, unless otherwise agreed, involve full-time work with shift rotation.
