Our Operations Our department encompasses cardiology and pulmonary medicine, clinical physiology, and thoracic surgery. Cardiac care within our department is provided on two care units; inpatient care on 50G and day care on 50F. There is exciting development and research happening within the department that you will have the opportunity to be part of. At unit 50G, we care for, treat, examine, and evaluate acutely ill cardiac patients around the clock. Patients come in with conditions such as heart attack, cardiac arrhythmia, and heart failure and require acute management. We also have our day care on 50F with planned procedures for cardiac patients. Your Assignment As a future nurse with us, you will be part of our wonderful team. As a new nurse, you will receive individualized orientation for six weeks as well as training days including A-CPR and theoretical education where you will receive instruction in relevant topics related to cardiac care. We have experienced nurses who provide clinical supervision to new employees. Continuing education is important to us and we have a structured introduction program with instruction. You will work in a team with nursing assistants and be responsible for cardiac patients in your care unit. Our patients often require cardiac monitoring. We have two care units with higher care levels where patients can be monitored with arterial lines, receive advanced medical treatment such as vasopressors and treatment with NIV (Non-invasive ventilation). Your Qualifications We are looking for you who are a nursing student and starting term 6. Your Competence We are looking for you who are interested in cardiac care and want to start working at unit 50G after completing your degree. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, such as being responsible and motivated in your work. You have a flexible and curious approach and good teamwork skills. You enjoy a high and varied pace. You do not need to have experience with ECG interpretation before starting with us. What We Offer We offer you a permanent employment as a nursing assistant. Upon submission of your nursing license, the employment will be converted to a permanent position as a nurse. Your new position will, unless otherwise agreed, involve full-time work with duty at all hours of the day, so-called shift work. You commit to working 12 months with us after completing your degree. There is an opportunity to work as a nursing assistant or care assistant during your studies, but this is not required.
