The Learning Center and adult education are part of the Growth area within the Municipal Administration Office, together with departments for Business and Customer Service, Culture and Recreation, Planning and Traffic, Water and Sewerage, Property, and Waste Management. The Head of Adult Education will be your immediate supervisor, and you will collaborate and cooperate with contracted service providers and engaged colleagues in other municipalities in Jämtland. The Municipal Administration Office serves three boards: the Municipal Council, the Building and Environmental Board, and the Community Development Board. The office employs approximately 135 employees and is divided into Staff, Building and Environment, and Community Development and Growth areas. A day as a career and academic advisor in adult education The Learning Center offers municipal adult education (Komvux), adapted education, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), and health and care education. Together with other municipalities in the region, we also provide access to a broad range of courses and vocational training. As a career and academic advisor in adult education, you guide both prospective and current students toward educational programs, both where we are the main provider and toward studies with other providers and educational levels. Your work consists largely of individual study planning and individual conversations. In Krokom Municipality, as a career and academic advisor, you work closely with other municipal departments such as the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA), Business and Customer Service, SFI, and Health and Care Education, among others. You collaborate with career and academic advisors from other municipalities in the region. Your qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic degree in career and academic guidance or several years of work experience in the field that we can assess as equivalent. You have good digital skills and strong knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You are experienced in documenting and making presentations and follow-ups. You have a B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience working with career and academic guidance in adult education. Your personal qualities are important, and we want you to have a genuine interest in motivating others to reach their goals. You are organized and responsible, and you have a solution-focused approach. You are welcoming and open when meeting others, and you are someone who likes to collaborate to find new ways of working toward common goals. Other information Permanent full-time position. Working hours are scheduled during daytime and weekdays, excluding holidays. Currently, development work is underway to strengthen and develop the future adult education and learning center. This means that organizational changes may occur for personnel within adult education. Management will remain within the municipality. Regarding the recruitment process, we have made decisions about recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore decline contact from sales representatives.
