The Learning and Culture Administration in Nybro Municipality operates preschools, preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, school childcare, upper secondary schools, and municipal adult education including Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and specialized education for adults. Within the administration, there is education in glasswork through the National Glass School in Pukeberg as well as commissioned education and vocational higher education programs. The Learning and Culture Administration also manages libraries, cultural schools, culture centers with movie theaters, youth recreation activities, and general cultural matters. The Learning and Culture Administration has just over 850 employees and an annual budget of approximately 580 million kronor. JOB DUTIES You will be part of the local student health team at the upper secondary school and work within their team. The team consists of career counselors, counselors, school nurse, special education teachers, and safety educators. The team is led by a coordinator and reports to one of the principals. The student health team participates in monitoring absences, meetings with teachers, students, and parents, as well as planning preventive work at the school. You will also be part of a network of all career and study counselors in Nybro Municipality. Your duties include motivational conversations, guidance for upper secondary students, and information sessions for various student groups along with other related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone trained as a career and study counselor, preferably with experience from upper secondary school. We want you to have strong communication skills and be skilled in conversation methodology. You also need to be solution-oriented. We want you to be interested in young people and have insight into different individuals' different circumstances. Additionally, you should be skilled at presenting goals and motivating people around you. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
