Learn more at: www.smurfitwestrock.se Smurfit Westrock is seeking a business-driven Strategic Procurement Manager who wants to take a leading role in developing the company's sustainable business in a global market. We are looking for someone with negotiation experience and expertise in managing large and complex business deals. As a Strategic Procurement Manager at Smurfit Westrock, you will become a key person in the company's business development – responsible for major contracts, international supplier collaborations, and frequent contacts both internally and externally. You will represent the business in important commercial negotiations and be a clear face outward. With your drive, business focus, and fresh perspectives, you contribute to developing procurement work and knowledge transfer within the team. Together with internal stakeholders, you conduct procurement processes, manage ongoing contract matters, and develop existing agreements. You work closely with the Procurement Manager, colleagues, and the group's central procurement function to lead business processes from analysis to completed agreement. The role also includes responsibility for commercial negotiations, monitoring cost and market developments, and supplier qualification – always with a strong business and sustainability focus, in line with Smurfit Westrock's policies and guidelines. About the role: As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will play a central role in developing and managing the company's supplier relationships and ensuring cost-effective, sustainable, and long-term business arrangements. You drive negotiations, evaluate suppliers, and actively contribute to Smurfit Westrock's goals in quality, environment, and business value. • Take responsibility for strategic procurement work within selected categories. • Lead and participate in negotiations, procurement processes, and supplier evaluations. • Work cross-functionally with production, logistics, and technical teams. • Contribute to improvement projects and sustainability initiatives. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with documented experience in strategic procurement – preferably from manufacturing or process industry. You have good negotiation skills and are comfortable managing both national and international business affairs.
