Within the Functional Support department, our mission is to strengthen people's abilities toward independence, self-determination, and participation in their lives, ensuring that individuals receive stimulation, development, meaning, and community. We are now recruiting two support pedagogues for residential facilities with special services in the Mariestad area. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES These positions involve a combination of tasks, where 20% of working time is allocated to pedagogical work and the remaining time is direct service user work. You may also work as a support pedagogue across multiple operations. The long-term goal is for each operation to have its own dedicated support pedagogue. Your responsibilities include: • Work to increase service users' participation, integrity, independence, and self-determination. • Hold special responsibility for the pedagogical operation's development. • Gather and disseminate knowledge about sustainable and evidence-based pedagogical methods to advance the operation. • Actively listen to staff thoughts and ideas and work to incorporate them. • Serve as a sounding board and support to other staff regarding documentation and development planning. • Assist and support staff with developmental work in pedagogical methods to increase individual service users' participation in daily life and promote user independence. • Mentor students from relevant educational programs related to the support pedagogue role. • Actively participate in regular network meetings with other support pedagogues. In addition to working closely with your support pedagogue colleagues and care staff, you will also have contact with family members, nurses, rehabilitation personnel, unit managers, and others. As a support pedagogue, you have the opportunity to influence how work is organized in close collaboration with colleagues and your unit manager. One position has a start date no later than September 1, 2026, while the other position starts as soon as possible by mutual agreement. QUALIFICATIONS To work as a support pedagogue, you must have appropriate post-secondary education such as a support pedagogue qualification or specialization within disability services with pedagogical focus comprising at least 200 vocational college credits or 60 higher education credits. We also see that you have experience and knowledge of LSS and its legislation. We are seeking someone with strong interest in development work and who feels confident taking a leading role in this. You are expected to contribute to advancing the pedagogical work in the operation and ensure high quality documentation. An important part of the role is being able to identify needs and design pedagogical solutions based on each individual's circumstances. You are skilled at motivating and engaging colleagues in development work. Furthermore, you must be responsible, see solutions rather than obstacles, and enjoy varied tasks. We consider it essential that you have a humble approach and value good collaboration. A Category B driver's license for manual transmission is required.
