Your Assignment Your work will consist of helping and supporting the residents with services based on their individual needs and wishes, according to approved assistance. The work is conducted according to established implementation plans and goals. The work includes providing support in all household tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, as well as leisure and cultural activities. Other important tasks are to develop and maintain individual abilities and communication, as well as to support the residents' self-determination and personal integrity. Using a motivating and low-affect approach, we create and maintain conditions for quality of life, security, and joy based on each individual's own definition. Working hours are currently scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends and are continuously adjusted according to the operations' needs. Description of the Workplace Norrbergets service residence is part of the Functional Support activity area within the Welfare sector. Here you work in close collaboration with colleagues, your unit manager, and other important partners to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the people living in the facility. The service residence provides support and services to people covered by the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). The law's goal is for people with functional disabilities to be able to live an independent life and have the opportunity to participate in society on equal terms as others. Together with your colleagues, you work to create good living conditions, strengthen each individual's self-determination, and provide support based on individual needs and circumstances. Your Competence We are looking for someone who is trained as a support assistant or has a degree from a care and health program, or alternatively has other education or experience that the employer considers equivalent. Experience in individual support work or educational work is meritorious. If you also have knowledge of and experience with clarifying pedagogy, we see that as a particular asset. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You have a natural ability to create security and trusting relationships and meet people with respect, attentiveness, and a low-affect approach. You can handle different, and sometimes complex, forms of expression in a calm and professional manner. You have the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional and adapt your approach based on situation and individual. Furthermore, you have a holistic perspective in your work and can plan, prioritize, and act based on the facility's goals and the individual's needs. We value good collaboration skills and are looking for someone who works well with others. You are attentive, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive work environment by handling challenges and conflicts in a constructive manner. As an employee, you are expected to actively contribute to quality development and safety in the operations by seeking new knowledge, taking initiatives for improvements, and reporting any deficiencies.
