The group home on Kilkestensvägen is located in the Muggebo area. The residence is surrounded by forest and features a wonderful outdoor environment. Five people with various support needs live here in ground-floor apartments, each with their own patio, in a calm setting. We are now seeking a support assistant who, like us, is passionate about individualized care in a homely environment! WORK TASKS As a support assistant, you work directly with service users in their living environment, based on LSS legislation with the goal of providing them with a good quality of life. This involves positively encouraging, stimulating, and engaging each person to increase their independence while creating continuity and security. Your tasks are based on each individual's needs, where you are responsible for care support including personal hygiene, laundry, meals, cleaning, community contacts, and assistance with leisure activities. You will also collaborate with many different parties, such as family members, support educators, day programs, unit managers, nurses, and others. The role also includes written documentation. It is important that you are responsive to signals from the residents and that you encourage participation. An important task is to work so that the individual is actively involved in planning their support and in community life. Working hours are mixed, including daytime, evenings, and weekends. This is a permanent full-time position with a start date as soon as possible by agreement. QUALIFICATIONS We expect that you have completed education in child and leisure activities, or are a trained nursing assistant, or have other post-secondary education in behavioral sciences that the employer deems relevant. It is an advantage if you have experience with: • Visual supports pedagogy • Low-arousal approach • AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) • TAKK • Documentation in the Lifecare system • Care support tasks Experience as a support assistant is an advantage, but we also welcome interested newly graduated childcare workers, nursing assistants, and others with post-secondary behavioral science education who want to learn the work and develop with us. You are responsible, see solutions instead of obstacles, and enjoy varied work tasks. You take initiative and are skilled at motivating residents in their daily activities to help them maintain a meaningful and active life based on their own needs. Other important personal qualities are curiosity in meeting people and keeping the individual's needs at the center. As a colleague, you have an inspiring approach and good collaboration skills. A category B driver's license is a requirement for this position, and you must also be able to work irregular hours as the schedule varies.
