What you can expect from the position As Assistant Store Manager, you are the Store Manager's extended arm. You have personnel responsibility for the store's employees and have overall responsibility for daily operations. You coach and lead employees through your presence in the store so that all customers receive optimal customer service and leave Biltema with a positive experience. Through engaging and inspiring leadership, you develop Department Managers and other employees. You monitor sales and come up with creative ideas to showcase our large range of products. You are well versed in store operations and have ultimate responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is not present. This includes having ultimate responsibility for the work environment and ensuring together with other employees that you have a safe work environment. You are involved in planning and create schedules based on activities and events. You are happy to share your expertise and serve as a sounding board for both the Store Manager and other employees. As Assistant Store Manager, you are part of the store's management group and report to the Store Manager. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours are 40 hours/week. What we expect from you We are looking for you who are results-oriented and have a high service awareness. As a person, you have the ability to motivate, coach and inspire staff through your pedagogical way of communicating and leading. You have a natural talent for creating a good atmosphere and always ensure that your employees are ready to perform at their best. By seeing the entire sales cycle from planning and merchandise receipt to marketing and sales, you always strive to be solution-oriented and creative in situations that may arise. We see that you have at least 2-3 years of experience in similar management positions in retail. This means that you feel confident in your leadership and comfortable with the agreements and regulations that apply to retail.
