About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to a smooth-running everyday life. Each assistance assignment is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks can vary depending on the workplace. The client is a 10-year-old child living in Hälleforsnäs who recently started receiving assistance from us. The child's individual needs determine the workday, and your tasks may include help with mobility, personal care, exercise and communication, as well as everyday chores and activities both at home and outside. The boy has autism and communicates partly with the help of visual supports. The work focuses strongly on activating the client, organizing fun outdoor activities, and working with a low-affect approach in a safe and structured environment. During the summer, the client is on school break, which means work hours cover full days, while during school terms the schedule is afternoons, evenings, and nights with on-call time. Who Are You? Working as a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, good personal chemistry between you and the client is essential. Since the work involves activities and physical tasks, you need to be physically strong and must be completely smoke-free during work hours. For this position, you must have: prior experience with autism prior experience working with children good knowledge of Swedish or English to handle communication and documentation a B driver's license (automatic transmission is sufficient) and access to your own vehicle to get to your workplace For this position, it is a plus if you: have experience with similar work have experience with visual supports in communication have experience or training in low-affect behavior management (LAB) Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Work Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "for the duration of the assistance assignment." We are seeking two people for this assignment: one position at approximately 100% (approximately 38 hours per week) and one position at approximately 50% (approximately 20 hours per week). Work hours are scheduled on both weekdays and weekends. During school terms, hours are 16:25–22:00 and night shifts 22:00–07:10 (including 7.5 hours on-call time). During summer, we work full days when the client is on summer break. Note that work hours will look different during the summer. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start Date Immediate start by agreement. Introduction will be arranged by agreement and can begin immediately so you feel completely confident in your work.
