Job Description With us, you have the opportunity to work in two small, present-focused schools where relationships, participation, and student well-being are central. Linneryd School has just over 70 students and Örnmö School in Konga approximately 40 students, creating a safe and family-like environment with good opportunities to make a real difference. The position is 85% and is divided between the schools, approximately 50% in Linneryd and 35% in Konga. Work is scheduled so that you have full days at each school, providing good conditions for structure, continuity, and presence without needing to move between assignments during the day. You will become part of a well-functioning student support team where collaboration and shared responsibility are central. We work together to develop our schools with a focus on providing students with the best possible conditions to succeed. The student support team consists of special education teachers, specialist teachers, school counselors, school nurses, principal, teachers, and other school resources. You also collaborate with the municipality's central student support services, which include special education teachers in preschool, speech-language pathologists, and psychologists. In close collaboration with your colleagues in child and student support, principals, and the schools' other staff, you actively contribute to developing the pedagogical work. Together, we work to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment that gives all students the best possible conditions to reach their goals. Job Duties In your role as a special education teacher, you are a central part of the schools' pedagogical development work and student support efforts. You work promotively, preventively, and remedially in close collaboration with colleagues and school leadership. The assignment includes, among other things: Take an active role in collaborative learning at the school Coach and mentor colleagues in pedagogical matters Serve as a qualified discussion partner in both pedagogical work and overall student support efforts Function as an organizational resource for school leadership Investigate causal relationships between difficulties and learning environments; map, identify, and analyze factors that affect children's/students' knowledge development and contribute with interventions at individual, group, and organizational levels. In collaboration with school leadership and other student support services, you analyze local development areas and contribute to systematic quality work. School development is carried out based on identified needs, with a focus on creating good conditions for all students' learning and development. Qualifications We seek an unafraid, flexible, solution-focused, positive, and well-organized person. It is required that you have a very good ability to create trust and establish and maintain good relationships with both students and adults. We seek you who have a special education degree or other relevant education and experience from teaching and/or previous special education assignments within primary or secondary school. You have a positive attitude toward change work and school development, which also permeates your work style. You also possess the ability to work both in teams and independently.
