Description Hällefors Municipality has a central student services department that serves the municipality's two primary schools, adapted primary school, and upper secondary school, with approximately 800 students total. The student services team consists of counselors, school nurses, special education teachers, a school physician, and a psychologist. We are now seeking an additional special education teacher and invite you to join our team. The goal of student services is to promote learning and remove barriers to education. The work is health-promoting, preventive, and remedial at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Responsibilities Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' needs, and participate in psychological evaluations and diagnosis of learning difficulties or other functional limitations. Work with accommodations and support for students with diverse needs, both in instruction and in the school environment. Provide consultative support to school staff, including teachers and principals, to create a more inclusive and adapted learning environment. Support and guide parents to help them understand and support their children's development and learning. Collaborate with external partners such as rehabilitation services, hearing specialists, speech pathologists, and special education authorities. Qualifications Special education teacher degree or special educator degree. Experience working with students in need of special support. Ability to communicate clearly with students, parents, and school staff. Empathy and responsiveness in work with students and colleagues. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good Swedish language skills and ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. B-class driver's license. Merit Factors Experience with the PMO documentation system. Experience working with students with neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities. A primary school teacher degree. Terms This is a permanent employment position at 100%, with daytime work and start date fall 2026. A probationary period may be applied. This position is a vacation replacement position.
