For fall 2026, we are looking for you who: - Hold a special education teacher certification in intellectual disabilities for adapted upper secondary education. - Are certified in the subjects of home and consumer studies, meals and culinary trades, aesthetic activities, and facility maintenance. You will be responsible for arranging work-based learning (APL) placements for students in the Real Estate and Construction program and will conduct three-party meetings. 60% - Are prepared to serve as a teaching resource in practical courses related to bakery and cooking in the Hotel, Restaurant and Bakery program at the adapted upper secondary school. You will manage contact with Taxi. Total 40%. - Are a highly engaged person who builds strong relationships with both students and staff. - Are unpretentious, curious, solution-focused, possess strong pedagogical abilities, and are driven by what can be accomplished through collegial learning and shared ideas about teaching. - Center students in your work, are passionate about your job, and have a good sense of humor. We conduct interviews continuously throughout the posting period. Väckstanäs Upper Secondary School is a non-profit, independent upper secondary school with residential accommodations. The school is operated as a foundation with board members from the Fredrika Bremer Association and the Housekeeping Society. The school is beautifully located in the middle of the triangle formed by Järna, Nykvarn, and Södertälje, by Lake Vällingen. We have approximately 275 students in the Children and Leisure program, leisure and health, Restaurant and Food Service program, chef, baker/pastry chef, Natural Resource Management program, horticulture with a natural guide profile, and the Aesthetic program with a focus on image and design, textile design profile. We also offer Real Estate and Construction and Hotel, Restaurant and Bakery programs at the adapted upper secondary school. Sustainability is important to us; we work purposefully with the environment, social climate, and finances. Among other things, we grow much of our own vegetables, we have a clear program to create community for both students and staff, we are members of the National Association of Independent Schools, etc. The school's geographic location means you will need your own car to get here and home.
