As a special education teacher at Emanuelskolan, you will be an important part of our student-centered work. You will be part of a team with a special education specialist and educators, where we together develop instruction and create good learning environments for all students. In your role, you work in the classroom, in small groups, and when needed on an individual level. You monitor, assess, and instruct students' language, writing, and reading development and contribute your specialist expertise to the work team's planning and analysis. You are a central actor in designing extra adaptations, special support measures, and action plans of high quality. As a special education teacher with us, you are both a qualified discussion partner and an advisor for students, guardians, and colleagues. You help drive the school's development work and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where all students have the opportunity to reach their learning goals. The role includes, among other things: • teaching and following students' language, writing, and reading development • conducting pedagogical assessments and designing action plans • contributing to the development of learning environments and work methods • collaborating closely with special education specialists, student health services, and work teams • being a clear, safe, and engaged pedagogical leader • working both independently and in teams with a focus on quality and goal achievement Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work. You have a flexible and unpretentious approach and see the value in learning from and with others. This is a permanent position at 100%. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • are a certified elementary school teacher with qualifications in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language • have a special education teacher degree with a focus on language, reading, and writing development • have good knowledge of and experience working according to Lgr22 • communicate well in Swedish, both spoken and written Personal qualities: • Are positive with a sparkle in your eye, engaged, and curious in your pedagogical mission. • Are creative and think outside the box to motivate and engage all students. • Are organized, responsible, and confident in your professional role. • Are courageous in your classroom leadership and dare to try new work methods. • Have the ability to see each student's potential and adapt instruction based on different needs. • Are analytical and assessment-confident with the ability to interpret results from tools such as LegiLexi, Kartläggaren, and the Swedish National Agency for Education's assessment support to translate them into relevant pedagogical measures. • Of course, you maintain a professional approach and work for good relationships with students, colleagues, school librarians, and guardians. Meritorious qualifications: • You have experience working as a teacher in early grades and with early reading and writing instruction. • Previous experience working as a special education teacher. • Additional specialization in mathematics that strengthens the school's collective expertise. • Experience conducting pedagogical assessments and designing high-quality action plans. • Experience collaborating with student health services and multidisciplinary teams. • Good ability to use digital tools and alternative learning tools in language, reading, and writing instruction. • Experience working with multilingual students and language and knowledge development work methods. • Interest in or experience driving development work related to learning environments and inclusion. • Experience mentoring colleagues or contributing to professional development. Interviews will be conducted June 30 – July 1. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent position. Work hours: Daytime.
