We are now recruiting a specialist physician in psychiatry for clinics 4 and 5 in Karlstad. Your Workplace Psychiatric Outpatient Care Karlstad is centrally located and is part of the Psychiatric Specialties Area. The psychiatric outpatient care operations area consists of the region's psychiatric outpatient clinics, an eating disorders clinic, a clinic for emotional instability, a LARO clinic, and its own ST physician unit. Psychiatric Outpatient Care Karlstad / Lagergrens gata 2 and 4 consists of four equivalent clinics with patient distribution based on date of birth. The clinics are temporarily located in Karlstad's inner harbor. Our mission is to provide specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with moderate to severe psychiatric issues as well as other general psychiatric conditions. The operations in Karlstad have a catchment area of approximately 140,000 people and include the municipalities of Karlstad, Hammarö, Kil, and Forshaga. We are now recruiting a specialist physician in psychiatry for clinics 4 and 5 in Karlstad. The clinics have physical therapists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, physicians, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, care administrators, and a unit manager per clinic. We constantly strive to improve operations, and as a physician, you will have excellent opportunities to be involved in developing and influencing care and our working methods at the clinic. Development work is employee-driven according to the Modern Area model and takes place in collaboration with Magnus Lord. Your Tasks Your main tasks as a physician with us include psychiatric treatment work such as psychiatric assessment/baseline investigation and medical treatment. You meet with your physician colleagues in psychiatric outpatient and inpatient care one afternoon per month and participate in organization-wide forums with management. We have multidisciplinary treatment conferences where all professions participate, including you as a physician. We have daily rounds where nurses and physicians participate. You mentor medical students, ST/AT/BT when needed and provide guidance to the team on medical matters, and support the unit manager in medical prioritization. You participate in development work based on research and evidence-based care to improve care at the clinic with the patient's best interests at the center. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you as a licensed specialist physician in psychiatry. You have strong patient focus and work with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach. As a person, you are proactive, stable, and have good ability to adapt your approach based on situation and individual. Together with the rest of the team, you take responsibility for maintaining high patient safety and care quality.
