Our Operations The Gender Identity Clinic is in an expansion phase and we are now seeking additional specialist physicians. Akademiska Hospital has been entrusted to conduct national highly specialized care regarding certain care for gender dysphoria in collaboration with Region Stockholm. The Gender Identity Clinic has a coordination mandate for gender dysphoria care at Akademiska Hospital and close cooperation with Region Stockholm, which means access to joint development projects and knowledge exchange. We work in interdisciplinary teams with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and medical secretaries. The Gender Identity Clinic is an age-spanning specialist clinic where we receive individuals of all ages. Our mission is to assess, investigate, and treat individuals seeking care for suspected gender dysphoria and often with a desire for gender-affirming treatment. Investigations are conducted according to a clear and structured approach and medical treatment is conducted in collaboration with other divisions at Akademiska Hospital. The mandate to conduct national highly specialized care entails both requirements and opportunities to be at the forefront of knowledge, maintain high quality care, and work based on national knowledge support. Your Assignment We are seeking a specialist physician in psychiatry with broad interest in psychiatry and particular interest in gender dysphoria. Your workdays will consist largely of assessment work, but also follow-ups and typical specialist physician work with patient visits and collaboration with colleagues and other professionals in the team. Supervision, teaching, and on-call service are part of the assignment. Your Qualifications You shall be a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. That you enjoy working together with others for patients and the operations' best interests we see as a given. Broad psychiatric experience, interest in psychiatric diagnostics, and good judgment are important for the position. Experience with this patient group is meritorious. Research experience and interest in teaching are meritorious.
