Our Operations The Department of Endocrinology at Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala is now seeking a specialist physician in Endocrinology. Your Assignment To work independently with patients suffering from endocrine diseases, including diabetes, obesity, and osteoporosis. Work in outpatient clinics, day care, inpatient care, and as a consultant. On-call duties at the emergency department and serving as a house physician are natural parts of the position. To help develop and lead the department's work within the endocrine field. Participation in work with the healthcare region of central Sweden is a natural part of the role. Active participation in mentoring, education, and continuing education of junior colleagues. The department works within multidisciplinary teams centered around patients. Your Qualifications You must be a specialist physician in Endocrinology; a specialist degree in Internal Medicine is a merit. Research experience is a merit, but not required. If you have not completed your dissertation, you are expected to engage as a doctoral candidate within one of the department's research groups. Experience working within endocrinology, including at the Department of Endocrinology at Akademiska Hospital, is a merit. Clinical teaching experience is a merit, as mentoring of medical students and junior colleagues is a natural part of the position. Your Competence Clinical experience working within endocrinology, as well as research and teaching as noted above. Great consideration will be given to personal competence and ability to collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare staff, as well as experience working at the Department of Endocrinology at Akademiska Hospital in Uppsala.
