Your Workplace Torsby Health Center has approximately 10,600 registered patients and a staff of around 35 people with broad expertise. The physician group consists of four specialists and five resident physicians – with variation in age and experience. The team also includes district nurses and registered nurses, nursing assistants, a social worker, psychologist, CBT therapist, healthcare administrators, and foot therapists. We are co-located with Torsby Hospital. In the same building you'll find the emergency department, laboratory, radiology, outpatient rehabilitation, family center, and outpatient psychiatry. Torsby is strategically located with good train, bus, and air connections to Karlstad and Stockholm. Your Responsibilities As a specialist physician in general medicine, you will have stimulating and developmental work with a focus on continuity and your own patient list. Your duties may include ward rounds in home healthcare and residential care facilities for the elderly, mentoring of students and resident physicians, as well as work at child health clinics and maternal health clinics. You will work in close collaboration with competent colleagues from several different professions. On-call duties and emergency services are included according to a rotating schedule. Your Knowledge and Qualifications We are looking for you as a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine. In addition to this, you have: the ability to take initiative and plan, organize, and prioritize your work independently. security in high-pressure situations and clear communication when interacting with both patients and colleagues. an aptitude for collaboration and enjoy working in an environment where dialogue and cooperation are a natural part of everyday life. a quality-conscious approach and good judgment in medical assessments. a Class B driver's license, as travel on business may be required. good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
