Your Workplace Vårdcentralen Gripen is centrally located in Karlstad, just a few steps from Klarälven, Värmlands Museum, and the lush museum park. With approximately 19,500 registered patients and over 50 committed employees, we are Värmland's largest primary care center, but the atmosphere here is personal, welcoming, and characterized by collaboration. Gripen has experienced physician staffing shortages for a longer period but is now moving toward a more stable future. Our physician group consists of 13 doctors, eight specialists in general medicine and five ST physicians, where the breadth of experience, expertise, and commitment creates both security and development opportunities. Here you have significant influence over your own schedule, and our open phone hours give you good opportunities to plan and prioritize your work independently. As a specialist with us, you will supervise AT and ST physicians and medical students, and if you wish to conduct your own research, opportunities are available. Your Responsibilities As a physician at Gripen, you will have varied and stimulating work with: - Scheduled consultations and acute patient cases. - Active participation in service development with a focus on accessibility, patient safety, and quality. - Distributed side assignments, for example responsibility for elderly care facilities or work at the midwifery clinic may occur; these are distributed within the physician group. We work purposefully with continuity and fixed physician contact, and offer good opportunities for professional development, including joint referral reviews and an academic meeting every week. - Some on-call and standby service. We also have well-developed multiprofessional teams: social workers, psychologists, district nurses with various specialist competencies, foot care therapists, nursing assistants, and healthcare administrators. We also have pharmacists and close collaboration with social benefit assessors from Karlstad Municipality. Our facilities also include physiotherapy and occupational therapy clinics.
