About Us Närhälsan Vara Health Center is located in the countryside but centrally in the region, with proximity to, for example, Gothenburg, Vänersborg, Borås, and Herrljunga within approximately 1 hour's travel. We have approximately 14,700 listed patients and work to increase continuity. We are therefore divided into 4 teams, consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, a social worker, a psychologist, and administrative staff. Three times a week the teams meet to review their patients and prepare for upcoming contacts and visits. We have an assessment clinic every day where a doctor, nurse, and nursing assistant collaborate on our acute cases. Two days a week, a physical therapist also participates in our assessment clinic, in collaboration with Närhälsan Rehab. We also work closely with the rehab clinic on other days since they have their facilities in the same building. In addition to regular health center visits, we also have a family center with which BVC works closely. In the same building there is also an elderly care facility and short-term care facility, and we have well-developed cooperation with municipal health and medical services. About the Work Job duties include the broad general medicine field with clinic work, both scheduled and acute clinic hours. Some on-call service at Lidköping's emergency center is included in your assignment. We achieve success together in a stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming work climate. Working as a specialist physician with us also includes supervising ST doctors and medical students; it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare staff. We offer you varied work with good development opportunities, for example through continuous professional development of ten days per year. About You You are a licensed doctor and have specialist training in the field of general medicine with authorization to work within Swedish healthcare. If you have supervisor training and have previously worked as a medical advisor or with home care services, that is meriting. Swedish language skills in speech and writing at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required for the position. We are looking for someone who can work independently but still wants to participate in the organization's development work.
