Your Responsibilities In your role as Sous Chef, you and your kitchen colleagues create not only exquisite meals, you also have fun and give of yourselves. You are therefore highly involved in creating an environment where both staff and guests thrive. Your main responsibilities: Responsible for evening operations in our restaurant Participate in planning and executing larger events Actively work with kitchen economics, smart purchasing and cost control Together with the Head Chef and your team, move the restaurant forward and continuously develop staff and the kitchen. In this role you get to be creative and work with the details that bring the hotel and surrounding area together on a plate. Our ambition is to work as much as possible with local producers for both food and beverages and to value the creativity that exists in the kitchen. A common goal is that we are there for the guest to provide the service our guests remember and want to return for. This requires a high level of commitment from everyone who works at the hotel. Good to Know This position is a permanent full-time employment with a 6-month probationary period. Working hours are primarily evenings, weekends and holidays. You will work according to a schedule with a start date by agreement. Skara Stadshotell has a collective agreement with Unionen and HRF Your employment will begin with an introduction. Our Expectations We are looking for someone who loves cooking and especially creating new dishes based on season and ingredients, all to surprise guests with a taste experience To work as Sous Chef with us, you need: Education relevant to the position Previous work experience as a Sous Chef or similar Good knowledge of Swedish Work in a structured and organized manner Ability to work well under pressure at a fast pace Experience working in a varied environment where challenges are seen as opportunities You place great value on how you treat guests and your colleagues, which means you have good communication skills, enjoy taking responsibility, are independent in your work and are not afraid to step in where you are needed most at any given time.
