You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. Thanks to you, those who live with us can maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, services, and aging. As a nursing assistant/care worker, you play a key role in a team with a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist who work closely together. About Gruvan Gruvan is a historic post office with character located in central Karlstad, next to the Cathedral. The residence has three floors with 11 apartments on each floor. We have a lovely roof terrace that we enjoy using when the weather permits. We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia care and communication through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We use a basic schedule based on the care recipient's needs. The schedule rotates on a 4-week basis. We collaborate with the company Ung Omsorg. This means a team of young people ages 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add enrichment to the lives of our residents. You have a group manager who spends most of their time working close to you in the operations. Becoming a group manager can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. We constantly work to create new, exciting activities for our residents. Your Experience and Knowledge We believe that you who apply to us: - are attracted to work that is varied and requires extensive knowledge of care and services, as well as a talent for meeting people in different situations. - are a creative person who dares to think independently, take responsibility, and work autonomously. - enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues. We would like to see that you are a trained nursing assistant/care worker or have equivalent experience working in elderly care, as well as experience with night shift work in healthcare. Good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required, but otherwise your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.
