What does the job entail? As a personal assistant, you become an everyday hero for someone else. Your tasks vary depending on the assignment and their needs: Some assignments require more hands-on care – such as help with hygiene, mobility assistance, and other daily needs. Other assignments involve more social support, help with household tasks, and finding fun activities. In some assignments, medication delegation and medicine handling are required. You usually work alone and need to feel comfortable working independently without colleagues in your immediate vicinity. The work takes place where the person you're assisting is – at home, during activities, or at the summer cottage 🌿. Routines are important, but sometimes you need to be flexible and adapt as situations arise. Work Hours Work hours vary – day, evening, weekends, and night (overnight care or on-call/standby). You need to be able to work all hours of the day according to your specific assignment holder's approved assistance! At Rullarnas, we like to see possibilities. Since 2011, Rullarnas has been authorized by IVO, the Inspection Board for Health and Care, to provide personal assistance. Rullarnas' goal is to provide both the person receiving assistance and staff with the best possible conditions to feel secure in their roles. Rullarnas' vision is to offer more people high-quality personal assistance where the personal assistants' competence and development are highly prioritized. Rullarnas shall provide personal assistance according to the intentions of LSS and be committed to delivering assistance of the highest quality while always respecting the service user's wishes and the assistants' employment conditions.
