For employment as a nursing assistant, you must have adequate education and be able to provide certificates/diplomas. If you are untrained, you can work as a care aide for a limited time. During the time you try out the work, we hope your interest is sparked and that you want to study in the health and care program. WORK TASKS Sala home care consists of 9 home care teams, 2 day activities facilities, and a night patrol. One home care group is based in Möklinta and one in Västerfärnebo. The remaining teams are based at Stadsträdgården in central Sala, the home care building. The building also houses coordinators, alarm assistants, and unit managers. Home care has service vehicles and service bicycles used in the work. In your work, you support clients in their homes with personal care such as dressing and undressing, hygiene, help with meals, activities, accompaniment, etc. You must be able to receive delegation from a nurse regarding, among other things, medication in order to work in home care. You will receive training, 2 hours of physical training and an online training, to be prepared to handle the delegation. It is the individual's needs that determine which services are relevant and how often the services are provided, and all services are assessed based on the Social Services Act. QUALIFICATIONS You must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment You must be able to receive delegation from a nurse, which means you will administer medication or provide medical care. You need to be able to speak, write, and understand Swedish because documentation and communication are important parts of the work You need to be able to use a computer, iPad, and iPhone Good physical condition We place great emphasis on personal suitability. MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS High school education, health and care program, or children and recreation program Care experience Language skills beyond Swedish Competence in various methods/approaches, such as dementia/AAC/MI, etc. Class B driver's license OTHER INFORMATION The summer period is weeks 25-33 We provide assistive devices and protective equipment such as masks and face shields. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected title. This means that as a nursing assistant, you need to apply for a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare and present it to your employer to be called a nursing assistant. We will ask you to show a background check for work in homes with elderly people and people with disabilities, which is ordered from the Police website.
