As a vacation substitute in Elder Care and Care for Persons with Disabilities, you make a difference for other people every day. WORK DUTIES No two days are alike when you work with people. Work duties can range from common household tasks (cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking) to personal care (hygiene, dressing and undressing). Other common tasks may include accompanying people on various outings and to different service facilities. You will be an important part of our service users' daily lives. Working hours are scheduled for daytime and evening shifts, both weekdays and weekends; there is also the option to work nights only. We are looking for someone who can work on a schedule for at least 4 weeks during the period weeks 23-35. There will be an opportunity to start an hourly position earlier in the spring, and there are good opportunities for continued employment in the fall. Elder Care is our largest operation with approximately 1,000 employees. Elder Care is distributed throughout the municipality from central Oskarshamn to the countryside, for example Påskallavik, Kristdala, and Figeholm. Care for Persons with Disabilities has approximately 300 employees. This includes all care for persons with various disabilities. Special housing, residential support (persons needing support in their own homes), short-term housing for children and youth, day activities, and personal assistance are services included in Care for Persons with Disabilities. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking many summer substitutes, and some positions require care education, but not all positions to be filled. You should have a genuine commitment and interest in working with people. The work duties include some documentation, phone calls, and many personal contacts, and therefore it is important that you master the Swedish language in speech and writing. Your substitute position will begin with a good introduction. It is a merit if you have completed or are pursuing education in: • Care and Health Program • Nursing Program • Other relevant education We are looking for someone who wants and can make a difference in other people's daily lives, who is happy and positive even in demanding situations. The work requires that you can work day/evening/night shifts and every other weekend.
