JOB DUTIES Karlskrona Municipality's Social and Disability Support Department is looking for someone who wants a rewarding and educational summer job where you have the opportunity to make a difference for others. The goal of your work is to give people with physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities the opportunity to live like others. The department has approximately 100 workplaces throughout the municipality with several different activities such as special residences, personal assistance, day activities, short-term placements/children and youth activities, and housing support. We provide support to people of all ages, around the clock, every day of the year. The people we support have different needs. Support may be needed with care and personal hygiene. It may be necessary to support communication and being understood. It can also mean that you provide support in daily tasks such as cooking, laundry, and shopping. It can also mean doing activities with or accompanying the user to different activities. Which support is to be provided has been agreed upon together with the user and is documented in an implementation plan. QUALIFICATIONS What is required to work with us? You need a genuine interest in helping others. Experience in care work/educational work is a merit, but not a requirement. We will provide you with the practical knowledge you need, and we solve the challenges you encounter together. You should have turned 18 before the summer replacement period begins to work in the Social and Disability Support Department. A driver's license is desirable, but not a requirement. You need good Swedish in speech and writing to be able to communicate and document. When do we need you? Our vacation periods are from mid-June to mid-August, but there may be a need before and after the vacation period. Your working hours vary depending on where you will be working. The need for our service exists every day and at all hours of the day. Your schedule includes day-evening and/or night shifts. We work on weekdays and weekends.
