JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We offer summer jobs in assisted living with a focus on night shift work. Assisted living is designed for elderly people who need support in their daily lives. You work as part of a team with colleagues, but also have individual responsibility for your tasks. On our short-term care unit, you meet clients who are with us for rehabilitation, assessment, respite care, or palliative care. As a substitute within care and support services, you contribute to creating a safe and meaningful daily life when regular staff are absent. Your tasks may include: • Personal care and hygiene assistance • Support with medication management • Monitoring and care during the night • Creating a sense of security and supporting and motivating clients Work is performed primarily during nighttime, on both weekdays and weekends. You help maintain each client's individual routines and daily rhythm. All planning is done via mobile phone, which provides clear structure in your work. At the same time, you need to be flexible as unexpected situations may arise. Before employment, you will receive an introduction at the workplace where you will shadow experienced staff to feel confident in your role. QUALIFICATIONS It is a great advantage if you have training and experience in care and support services, but it is not required. You need to have a willingness to learn new things and develop yourself. There are clear procedures that are important to follow to ensure good care for our clients. For example, you may be responsible for distributing medication. This requires great accuracy. It is important that you enjoy working with people. Our clients need different types of help and treatment. You need to be attentive to clients' needs and be good at collaborating with your colleagues. • You need to be able to take own initiative and have the ability to prioritize when multiple things happen simultaneously. • You need to understand, write, and speak Swedish. • You need to be able to handle the IT systems necessary for this position, which requires computer skills. • In several of our operations, you need to have a driver's license, but it is not required everywhere. Before a potential employment in care and support services, you need to provide an extract from the criminal records register.
