OUR ELDERLY CARE OPERATIONS As a summer substitute in Tranås Municipality, you will make a meaningful contribution and build valuable experience for future jobs. You will learn to take responsibility, increase your ability to collaborate, and develop your approach to working with people. If you are interested in working in elderly care this summer, you are welcome to submit your application. HOME CARE As a summer substitute in home care, you will work helping and supporting older adults who, due to age or need for care and support, require help at home. You will help and support older adults through home visits that can be done independently or together with a colleague. SPECIALIZED HOUSING As a summer substitute in specialized housing, you will work with older adults who, due to age or need for extensive care and support, require adapted housing. You will help and support older adults in a unit together with colleagues. WORK TASKS As a summer substitute in elderly care, you will have varying work tasks designed based on the resident's needs. This can include personal hygiene and care such as showering and dressing, medication management, cleaning and laundry, preparing meals, and other daily tasks. Another part of the work involves activating older adults by, for example, going for walks to contribute to a meaningful everyday life for seniors. WORK HOURS In elderly care, flexible working hours occur; you can work day and evening or night shifts as well as weekends. QUALIFICATIONS For the summer, we are looking for you who have a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities are customer service, flexibility, and responsibility. The work may include physically and mentally demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, working alone, and work shifts in the evenings and nights. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. We view positively if you are a nursing assistant or if you have an ongoing or completed upper secondary education in care and support, but it is not a requirement. It is also positive if you have previously worked in care and support, but even if you lack experience, you are welcome to apply. EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY Hourly employment with schedule and guaranteed employment level during one or two vacation periods. The summer period is between weeks 25–32. The first vacation period falls between weeks 25-28 and the second between weeks 29-32. You can choose whether you want to work the first or second vacation period, or the entire vacation period. If you work both vacation periods, that is, weeks 25-32 with a minimum employment level of 80%, you have the opportunity for a bonus of 4000kr before tax. This is paid out with your final salary.
