The municipality offers a varied range of activities that increase well-being. We can offer beautiful mountain experiences in winter and summer, a rich outdoor life with ski slopes, lit trails, and excellent opportunities for hunting and fishing. 1 position(s). Job Duties Individual and Family Services (IFO) in Storumans Municipality is seeking a social secretary at 100%. IFO consists of authority-exercising functions and open care services and is led by a operations manager. The authority-exercising functions consist partly of our senior social secretary who is responsible for receiving concern reports and applications, distributing cases and supervising case officers and social secretaries, and partly of our finance and adult case handlers as well as our social secretaries in children, youth and family law. Within our open care services, we can offer housing support/family counselor, open care regarding violence and substance abuse/addiction as well as family support. We also have a family support service that can offer, among other things, parenting support training and the evidence-based method family treatment CBT. We can offer support without prior needs assessment and provide a socio-psychiatric meeting place, Turning Point. The work includes investigative and follow-up meetings with children, young people and parents, documentation, and cooperation with our open care services and other organizations and authorities. Otherwise, you are responsible for working towards the service's goals, participating in continuous improvement efforts, and contributing to job satisfaction and maintaining a good working environment. With us, you are assigned cases based on your competence and experience and are offered close support from both colleagues and the senior social secretary, the majority of whom have extensive experience and solid competence. The operations manager has served as a manager within the same administration for almost eight years and works based on trust-based leadership, a management philosophy built on giving employees responsibility, freedom and confidence, rather than detailed control and supervision. You will have access to external supervision and opportunities for professional development within your area of responsibility through, among other things, the Professional Journey program. We have good cooperation with other inland municipalities, partly through the digital platform Digital Colleague which enables both professional development and experience exchange across municipal boundaries. We offer you free accommodation for three months, good starting salary, flexible hours, wellness activities during work hours, and interesting and varied work! In July 2025, the new Social Services Act came into force. The new legislation means a written focus shift from authority-exercising functions to early, preventive measures and increased accessibility, a first-line social service. We are in the midst of this transition where we are reviewing and developing our working methods; you have the opportunity to be part of this exciting journey! We look forward to your application! Qualifications We are looking for you who have a social work degree. Previous experience in authority-exercising functions in children, youth and family law is a merit, as well as good knowledge of current legislation. It is also a merit if you have experience working in the Life Care system. We are looking for you who are flexible and can work both independently and in a team. Important qualities for the work are well-developed analytical skills as well as good ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
