Laholm Municipality is seeking an engaged social worker for the family support unit. The position primarily focuses on work with children placed outside their homes under the Social Services Act or LVU (Lag med särskild bestämmelse om vård av unga). The work is conducted in close collaboration with social workers focused on intake and investigations, as well as foster care coordinators. The goal is to create a cohesive care chain for the children we serve, where they experience continuity and security in their contact with social services. The team also includes a senior social worker, school coordinator, and administrator. We work closely with partner organizations and want to build a care chain where the child's needs are the primary focus. We are seeking someone who wants to work in a smaller setting, with competent and knowledgeable colleagues who, together with you, take responsibility for and develop Laholm's social services. Responsibilities Handling cases concerning children placed outside their homes under the Social Services Act or LVU. We place great emphasis on meetings and conversations with placed children, their parents, and foster families/HVB. The position includes conducting investigations in accordance with the Social Services Act, handling appeals, and writing statements to police, prosecutors, and courts. We offer close management supervision with continuous guidance and training so you feel secure and can develop in your role here at Laholm Municipality. Qualifications We are seeking a social worker (socionom) with experience in social services authority work concerning children and young people. Training in Signs of Safety, BBIC, conversations with children, and MI is advantageous. You will primarily handle cases involving placed children and young people and need solid knowledge of current legislation in this area. Experience with authority work in intake, investigations, and placement concerning children and young people is meritoriously valued.
