Individual and family care consists of two units: the Adult Unit and the Children and Family Unit. The units include authority functions as well as open services. We are now seeking a social secretary for our team for children and young people. The Children and Family Unit works with authority functions and offers open services to children and young people aged 0-20. As an investigating and follow-up social secretary, you will be part of a group of social secretaries. You will be offered mentorship from the start of employment, methodology supervision by the senior social secretary and unit manager, as well as external supervision, relevant further training and competence development. We also offer you flexible working hours and wellness compensation. Job Description As a social secretary, you are responsible for investigating, assessing, making decisions and following up on the situation and services for children and young people. You investigate and assess needs as well as risk and protective factors in accordance with BBIC (children's needs in focus). You are responsible for the process in your cases in accordance with applicable legislation and operational procedures, and you participate in utilizing the family's own resources and solutions. The work is based on the child's specific needs in close collaboration with the child's family and other networks. An important part of the work is to offer support at an early stage and to work together with other collaborative partners around the child. We actively work with joint case management and there is good collaboration within the unit and between units to find the best opportunities for those we serve. With the new Social Services Act, your work tasks may change during your employment. Qualifications You who are applying must have a degree in social work or another, according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements, suitable degree. You have knowledge of current legislation and knowledge of BBIC. We would like you to have investigation experience in the field of children and young people. It is meritorious if you have several years of experience in a relevant area, as well as if you have previously worked with authority functions. As a person, you are responsible, flexible and stable. You have good empathic ability and can create good working relationships with children/young people and their families as well as with various collaborative partners. You are structured and confident in your professional role and have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing as documentation is an important part of the work. You have knowledge/experience of systems theory perspective and good ability to structure, plan and prioritize your work tasks. You are solution-focused and can contribute innovative thinking. You should be able to work independently and be a team player. A driver's license is a requirement and we place great emphasis on personal suitability.
