Social Secretary for Children and Family Services Would you like to work with qualified investigation work for children and young people? We are now seeking a social secretary for our reception and investigation team within Children and Family Services at Älvkarleby Municipality. With us, you'll work in an operation where the best interests of the child are central and where we value professional social work, collaboration, and development. We are a smaller municipality with short decision-making paths, close management, and good opportunities to influence both your own work and the development of the operation. One of our strengths is the close collaboration between authority functions and open care services. Through joint work with children, young people, and families, we create good conditions for early interventions, coordinated support, and sustainable change. Duties As a social secretary, you work primarily with investigating children's and young people's needs for protection and support according to the Social Services Act and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). The work includes: Conducting child welfare investigations. Assessing children's and young people's needs for protection, support, and interventions. Communicating with children, guardians, and their networks. Collaborating with schools, police, healthcare, and other partners. Documenting and processing cases according to applicable legislation. Following up on implemented interventions. As part of the team's shared responsibility, you will also participate periodically in reception work and contribute to the team's collective work on incoming cases. You will work closely with the municipality's open care services, which provides good opportunities for joint assessments, early interventions, and coordinated support for children and families. Qualifications We are seeking someone who: Holds a degree in social work (socionomexamen). Has experience with authority functions within child and youth social services. Has good knowledge of social services legislation and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). Has good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing. Holds a Class B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience with child welfare investigations, work with placed children and young people, or reception work.
