You will meet adults with support needs related to substance abuse issues, mental health problems, and criminality. The assignment includes qualified assessment, evaluation, and follow-up of interventions under the Social Services Act and the Act on Care for Substance Abusers, in close collaboration with internal and external partners. In your work, you will use evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Addiction Severity Index (ASI) to assess needs, strengthen motivation, and contribute to lasting change. The work also involves follow-ups at treatment facilities throughout the country, so it is an advantage if you have a driver's license (Category B). Your main responsibilities include: • Receiving, reviewing, and assessing incoming reports and applications in accordance with applicable legislation • Conducting home visits and outreach interventions • Assessing clients' need for support under the Social Services Act or the Act on Care for Substance Abusers • Granting and following up on interventions in accordance with laws and guidelines • Collaborating internally and externally to ensure coordinated interventions • Documenting appropriately in the Lifecare case management system As a social secretary, you will work closely with our open care for adults, our housing support teams, and other units within the department. By complementing each other's expertise, we create a holistic perspective and strengthen support for those we meet, always with the goal of providing the right support at the right time. You As an Applicant Requirements: You have a degree in social work and experience with authority functions within social services. You have independently assessed need for interventions and followed up on these. We consider it meritorious if you have: • Experience working with Addiction Severity Index (ASI), Signs of Safety, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). • Experience with investigations under the Social Services Act and the Act on Care for Substance Abusers (LVM). • Experience with social change work with people who have co-morbidity, social psychiatric issues, or substance abuse issues. • Experience with process-oriented approaches, digitalization, or improvement work. • Driver's license (Category B), as the position involves follow-ups at treatment facilities throughout the country.
