Description The Guidance and Support Unit is tasked with guiding and creating conditions for Lysekil residents who need support to achieve employment, education, or other sustainable livelihood. The unit consists of a manager and 19 employees and is part of the Employment Administration, which also manages labor market initiatives, adult education, daily activities, and employment. As we adapt our operations based on new social service legislation and implemented activity requirements, we now need to strengthen our team with a social worker with a focus on social change work. The position is part of a team that works motivationally with adults to increase participation and move toward self-sufficiency. The daily workplace is located within the Swedish Church's social and diaconal work, while employment is within the municipality's social services. There you will be part of a work team consisting of a work leader, six social workers, and a social administrator, who together work with support for self-sufficiency and economic assistance. Responsibilities As a social worker with a focus on social change work, you meet, guide, and coach individuals on their path toward self-sufficiency through employment, education, or other compensation. You work with a group of participants where the focus is on motivating long-term change and increased participation. The work is based on a relationship-building approach where the individual's own goals, motivation, and resources are central. You work closely with your colleagues in the team and collaborate with other important actors, such as healthcare, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency. Through cooperation and coordination, you contribute to creating the best possible conditions for the individual's development and progression. Exercise of authority within economic assistance may become relevant if needed. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in social work or behavioral science. It is meritorious if you have: experience with social change work with people far from the labor market experience with motivational work to support individuals into employment knowledge of current legislation as well as economic assistance and good communication skills in both speech and writing As a person, you are: self-driven and structured stable and confident even under high work pressure flexible and able to adapt your work approach to the individual's needs solution-focused and motivated by contributing to change We place great emphasis on personal suitability and your ability to contribute to a positive work environment and the development of the operation. Terms Permanent employment, full-time (probation may be applied). Interviews will be conducted during week 28 (July 7–9) between 1:00 PM–4:30 PM.
