We are seeking an engaged social secretary for economic assistance. About the Workplace Economic Assistance in Sala Municipality is part of the Adult Unit within Individual and Family Services, which also includes adult authority functions. Economic Assistance consists of seven social secretaries, an administrator, a team leader, and a unit manager. The Economic Assistance unit provides advice, support, and targeted interventions to individuals and families. The goal is to strengthen people's resources and opportunities to live an independent life and achieve self-sufficiency. Job Responsibilities In Economic Assistance in Sala, you and your colleagues investigate and assess the right to economic assistance. You also motivate and offer interventions that help the individual become self-sufficient. The work includes collaboration with, for example, internal actors within social services as well as external actors such as Försäkringskassan, the region, and Arbetsförmedlingen. We offer you exciting and challenging work with support from engaged and knowledgeable colleagues. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science, or other equivalent higher education that the employer deems relevant for the position. It is desirable that you have social law education. We appreciate if you have previous experience working with economic assistance and estate administration, but most important to us is that you want to contribute to our operations. To succeed in this role, it is important that you can both exercise authority and support and motivate the individual. As a person, you are communicative and have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You have a good ability to understand people's different living conditions and can meet people with respect and attentiveness. You plan and structure your work and drive your processes forward. As a person, you are thorough, responsible, and confident. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the scope of your assignment. You also have the ability to maintain focus in stressful situations. You can work independently and in close collaboration with others based on established goals and guidelines.
