Rickarums School and Preschool is located in a small community where many parents and residents are passionate about the organization and contribute to its sense of community and creative learning environment. Nature is our primary pedagogical space. It provides children and staff the opportunity to use the surrounding forest, lake, and meadows for creative learning and a healthy work environment. With approximately 50 children in preschool and approximately 50 students in school, everyone knows each other and we can work in an age-integrated and flexible way that promotes each child's development. Staff across different departments work together to create learning based on care, competence, and heart. Together, the staff consists of 30 people. We place great emphasis on a work environment where staff, students, and children experience joy in coming to preschool and school in the morning. Does Rickarum seem remote? Not at all – the school is 16 kilometers from Kristianstad and Hässleholm, and in less than an hour you can be in Malmö or Lund. A gem in a vibrant countryside with everything within about 30 minutes. We are now seeking an engaged and certified crafts teacher for grades 3–6. We need both a wood and metalwork teacher and a textile teacher. It would be a plus if you could teach both textile and wood/metalwork. About the Job This is a part-time position of approximately 10–20% per month starting in August 2026. The role includes: · Planning, implementing, and evaluating crafts instruction (both wood/metal and textile) for grades 3–6 in accordance with Lgr22. · Responsibility for material procurement and safety procedures. · Creating a safe, inspiring, and creative learning environment where students dare to experiment. We Are Looking for Someone Who: · Is a certified crafts teacher. · Has experience and knowledge preferably in both wood and metalwork as well as textile crafts. · Sees each student's individual needs and adapts your instruction so that all students have the opportunity to reach learning objectives. · Has strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. · Is good at documenting and is proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing. · Is solution-focused and sees possibilities instead of obstacles. · Appreciates the opportunities that come with a smaller organization. · Wants to develop an organization with the vision that nature should be the primary learning environment.
