About the Role Securitas is now seeking security guards for assignments protecting activities vital to Swedish society. This is an assignment for you who are not just looking for a job – but are ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's livelihood and security. It's about protecting what must work – around the clock, year-round. As a security guard, you have a crucial role in maintaining security for operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended authority, often in close collaboration with our clients. The work is varied and can include both stationary and mobile patrols, access control, or work in a security control center. You will need to make independent decisions in critical situations, have good endurance, and sound judgment. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can remain calm when others cannot – and is loyal to Swedish interests. Security patrols are conducted both indoors and outdoors, day and night. Shift lengths vary but are often arranged in 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Since our operations run every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend. Requirements Specification To be employed, you must meet certain basic requirements. You must have passing grades in Swedish, Swedish 1. Since the role involves driving, a Category B driver's license is also required. We do not intend to provide security guard training as part of this recruitment, and we prefer that you already have valid civilian or military security guard training. If you have completed the training within the Swedish Armed Forces, for example as part of basic training (GMU), it can be validated for civilian use. Note that security guard training and GMU must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application. Specific Required Qualifications: Passing grades in Swedish and English from high school (Swedish 1 and English 5 or equivalent) Category B driver's license Valid civilian or military security guard training. We are looking for a person with integrity, maturity, and the ability to take responsibility – both for their own and others' safety. You have a natural affinity for structure and order, and a vigilance that others trust. This is a position for someone who has life experience behind them and is now ready to use it to make a difference. Security Vetting Please note that this position is classified as a security clearance position and means you will undergo security vetting according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved under current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any potential vulnerabilities according to the Security Police's regulations and guidance. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a comprehensive assessment of you, your life situation, and your financial circumstances when evaluating your suitability. If applicable, similar checks may be conducted of a person you cohabit with or have a similar relationship with. To be considered for the position, you therefore need (at minimum) to: Not appear in the Police Authority's various registers, such as suspicion register, criminal record register, etc. Have organized finances; no payment defaults, unresolved debts, no registration with debt collection agencies or the Enforcement Authority This is not an ordinary job - it is an assignment in service of society.
