Munkmora School is a small growing school that by fall 2026 will have grades F-5 with approximately 175 students. The school is located in central Gustavsberg in Värmdö municipality with good bus connections and has newly renovated, bright, beautiful and functional facilities. We have a fantastic outdoor environment with large play areas and two artificial grass fields. In addition, we are close to parks and forest areas. At Munkmora School, we work to provide all students with safe and sustainable learning for life—sustainability for the individual and sustainability for our world. The school is certified for its work and is both a certified Generation PEP school and a certified Green Flag school. Therefore, we work purposefully to strengthen students' mental and physical health, where the school's meals also play a central role. Student well-being and safety form the foundation of all our work. At Munkmora School, all students are everyone's students! When students finish grade 5 at Munkmora School, they continue to Kvarnberg School where they attend the later years of primary school. Kvarnberg School is a grades 6-9 school located in central Gustavsberg, approximately 30 minutes by bus from Slussen. The school's facilities are designed and adapted for work with the upper grades and underwent extensive renovation and expansion a few years ago. At our school, a warm and engaged staff team works with students' best interests in mind. To ensure support for students, there is a special education team where special education teachers work closely with other teachers supporting students with special needs in adapted learning environments and smaller groups. We place particular emphasis on the school's mission to promote students' comprehensive personal development. For us, an important starting point is that knowledge development goes hand in hand with social development. Therefore, we have several social pedagogues at the school who collaborate with teachers in work teams around students. Your Assignment Student health's medical services, EMI, within Värmdö municipality's primary schools are primarily preventive and offer great opportunities to develop and adapt the work. The goal is to promote students' health and development so that educational objectives can be supported. The principal of each school is responsible for personnel, and the medical work is under the supervision of the operations manager for student health's medical services. The role of school nurse involves health promotion and preventive work according to the base program, the School Act and the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines for EMI. You work with health visits to increase students' knowledge and awareness of risk and health factors and how they affect health. EMI should contribute to creating environments that promote students' learning, development and health and support students' development toward educational objectives. As a school nurse, you are an active part of the schools' Student Health Team (EHT) that works closely with students, while also being a natural part of the staff. The workplace is characterized by a positive climate where everyone knows everyone and supports each other. Workplace meetings occur together with school staff. Additionally, you participate in conferences with the EMI management and have continuous supervision with the school nurse group. Your Experience We are looking for someone who · is a licensed nurse with specialist education in child and youth health, open healthcare or school nurse-specific higher education · has experience in child and youth medicine Meritorious is experience with documentation in Prorenata and documented experience with student health work in school activities. The position comprises 80% (30% at Munkmora School and 50% at Kvarnberg School) and is a permanent position with start date 260811 or by agreement. Trial employment may apply.
