About the role and your responsibilities As a school nurse, your duties include monitoring students' development toward learning goals, promoting health and prevention, following the base program, and implementing vaccination programs. You organize school doctor appointments and perform simple healthcare interventions in individual cases. You are interested in working with both preventive health efforts and managing other tasks that ensure a well-functioning medical student health service. As a school nurse, you work to create a safe school environment that promotes health, learning, and security. You are part of the school's student health team together with the school counselor, school psychologist, social pedagogue, special educators, and school leadership. The student health team's shared mission, along with other staff, is to promote a safe environment and create favorable conditions for health, development, and learning. As a school nurse, you will also collaborate with guardians and other activities and authorities outside the school. You are also part of a professional network with other school nurses in the municipality with regular meetings for quality development and work support, led by the medical management responsible. The principal is your immediate supervisor. We are looking for you We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training in pediatric nursing, district nursing, or school nursing. You need at least two years of experience as a nurse, and it is advantageous if you already have experience working in grades F-3. It is also advantageous if you have experience with health promotion work with children and young people. To succeed in this role, you need a genuine interest in the school's students and a desire to support them in reaching goals in collaboration with teaching staff. We believe you are a positive force who wants and has the ability to build good relationships with students, staff, and guardians. You take your own initiative and have the ability to work independently. You collaborate with the school's student health through preventive work. You also have good communication skills and work with everyone at the school for the students' benefit. Both schools are F-3 schools and are part of a school track with Östratornskolan, which is a grades 4-9 school. Flygelskolan and Munspelet each have two parallel classes and approximately 200 students per school. Currently, there is one special educator and one special teacher at each school.
