We welcome applications for a position as teacher in woodworking and metalwork. You will be part of a subject team consisting of three colleagues with extensive and solid experience teaching woodworking and metalwork. Together you will develop instruction through weekly subject meetings. You will be based at the upper secondary school Fågelforsskolan 7-9 and will teach students from the southern part of Vaggeryds municipality: Fågelforsskolan 3-9, Sörgårdsskolan 3-6, and Tofthaga School years 5-6. For the 2026/27 school year, you will primarily teach upper secondary students and several classes in grades 3-6. The workshop has been renovated in recent years, and together with a colleague you will be responsible for maintaining the current facility's organization, ensuring everything has its place. Together you will improve the environment. A major focus will be to guide students in becoming upper secondary students and to support them in study techniques and effort. You and your colleagues lay the foundation for the remainder of their time at upper secondary school. Qualifications We seek you with great engagement for students and instruction, who together with colleagues want to be part of Fågelforsskolan's collaborative work. You are a qualified teacher in woodworking and metalwork, preferably with professional experience. You hold teacher certification in your subject and ideally in an additional subject such as mathematics, science, or technology. You are an organized person with a strong ability to build relationships with students and colleagues. It is an advantage if you have a driver's license, as the municipality's schools collaborate with Remida and other companies that provide materials for use in woodworking.
