We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in school health care, general medicine, child and adolescent psychiatry, or child and adolescent medicine to contribute to the medical and psychological services within student health. The scope of the position is negotiable and there are opportunities for remote work. There is also an opportunity to pursue additional specialist training in school health care as part of your employment, which includes regular supervision and clinical placements. The assignment School health services play an important role in preventive work to maintain and improve students' physical and mental health and thus contribute to students' development toward educational goals. School doctors play a crucial role in this work. Clinic work involves standard school doctor duties with emphasis on health care, students' working environment, and removing obstacles to student learning. Examples include growth and developmental issues, school difficulties, neuropsychiatric matters, vaccination assessments, medical evaluations for admission to adapted primary school, and spinal checks. In your daily work, you collaborate closely with the municipality's 18 school nurses and your school doctor colleague. You also work with the operations manager on medical matters and patient safety, development, and quality assurance. You also collaborate with relevant departments and Region Stockholm on medical issues. If you do not already have additional specialist training in school health care, there are good opportunities to complete specialist training in school health care within your position with us. Supervisors are available within the organization, and planning for further education, clinical placements in other settings, and regular supervision are arranged in your individual study plan together with your supervisor. We use the Prorenata medical record system.
